Dr. Madhusudhan, Davangere University, holds M.Sc. and PhD in Biochemistry from University of Mysore-Central Food Technological Research Institute, India. He has served the University of Mysore during 1982 and 1998 as Sr. Lecturer in Chemistry on permanent basis. While in staying in abroad (1996 - 2004), he has worked as Postdoctoral Scientist with Prof. Vic Morris, Institute of Food Research, Norwich, UK; as Research Associate with Prof. Paul Seib, Kansas State University,Manhattan, Kansas, USA; Sr. Research Associate with Prof. Dennis Wiesenborn at the North Dakota State University, Fargo, USA; Visiting Scientist with Prof. DC Gowda at the Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey, USA, and with Prof Paul Rope at the Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington D.C, USA. Dr. Madhusudhan is a well published researcher, who has over 32 years experience in teaching Biochemistry, Food Technology and Food Nanotechnology. Presently, he is the Chairman of the Food Technology Dept. at Davangere University, DAVANAGERE, India. He is instrumental in introducing MSc Food Technology and ounder of Research Center for Nanoscience and Technology. He is professional member of several national and international societies.
Research experience gained from home and abroad has allowed me to work on protective role of nutraceuticals in infectious and non-infectious diseases include malaria, anaplasmosis and breast cancer research. Currently, we are working on the three different projects involving nutraceuticals of therapeutic importance against infectious agents and lifestyle diseases and cosmeceuticals. The projects are extramurally funded. Presently, we are engaged in investigating on biodegradable nanoparticles recruited for targeted delivery of antimalarials and anticancerous agents of pharmaceutical and nutraceuticals origin, and their toxicity related aspects.
